Dean Alegado Realty is a duly registered real estate company (Certificate of Registration No. 00842153) with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) . The company was established in 2009. We specialize in providing professional real estate services to our local and international clients.
Its president and principal broker, Dr. Dean T. Alegado, is a licensed professional real estate broker : Professional Regulation Commission I.D. No. 0002909, and Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) License No. 0074525. Our regional focus is the Subic Bay area, Olongapo City, Zambales and Central Luzon.
Dean T. Alegado was a tenured professor at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu for 27 years. He returned to the Philippines and settled in the Subic Bay Area with his family in 2008 to pursue his passion in local development work. Dean received his PhD in political economy at the University of Hawaii, MA in history from Goddard-Cambridge Graduate School in Social Change, and BA in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
In 2007 he served as Assistant to the Chancellor of the University of Hawaii at West Oahu. He was also Chair of the Ethnic Studies Department in the College of Social Sciences and served as interim director of the world-renowned Center for Philippine Studies at the School of Hawaiian, Asian and Pacific Studies at the University of Hawaii. Dr. Alegado is a leading expert on the Philippine labor export industry, the overseas or global Filipino community and diaspora, and international labor migration from Asia and the Pacific. Alegado was active in the Filipino Asian Pacific American community in Hawaii and the U.S. where he was a board member of key community organizations including the Immigrant & Refugee Rights Public Interest Law Center, the Hawaii State Council for the Humanities, the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii and the Filipino Community Center.
He is also a member of the Federation of Real Estate Brokers Associations (FREBA) of Central Luzon (Region 3) and the Philippine Association of Real Estate Boards (PAREB), the largest organization of professional real estate service practitioners in the Philippines.
Dean Alegado is an active member of the Metro Olongapo Chamber of Commerce and other civil society organizations in Zambales. He is also an avid tennis player, swimmer, jogger, budding surfer, and enjoys hiking around Zambales.
